Description While similar to the parent species (western red cedar) this cultivar is grown for its striking creamy-yellow variegation. Forms a fairly narrow tree (12' to 15' wide).

  Morphology:
Medium green foliage with "zebra-like", yellow stripes. When older the foliage is considered to have a whiter stripe.

  Adaptation:
Prefers moist, well drained acidic soils. In its natural habitat, the red cedars prefer moist to wet soils, shaded forests, and bogs. Useful as a specimen tree, or a tall hedge this cultivar can be considered a hedge species in moist climates. Excellent deer resistance.

  Pests:
None reported.
