Description Maupin Glow Incense Cedar makes a brilliant accent species in the landscape as it appears to be on fire!

  Morphology:
This evergreen tree grows in an upright fashion with a broader base and can reach a height of 8’ after 10 years, and 15’ at maturity. The needles in the upper portions of the tree are bright yellow while the lower ones are more greenish.

This Incense Cedar variant was found in Maupin, Oregon, on the east side of Mt. Hood.

  Adaptation:
In order to develop the best color this species should be planted in full sun and is adaptable to most soil types.
