Description With its incredibly bright golden color in the winter, Wate’s Golden pine offers a most welcome splash of color when it is most needed.

  Morphology:
This pine variant grows to a height of 15’-30’ and a spread of 10’-20’. It has needles in bundles of 2, which can grow from 1”-3” in length. The tree shape is defined as pyramidal with an open spreading habit. While the foliage is bright yellow during the winter, during the summer the color reverts back to the standard medium green as with most pines. Cones are rarely seen during the early years of the trees life.

  Adaptation:
This species is easily grown under a host of site and soil conditions. Good drainage is important however.

  Pests:
None reported.
