Description Any evergreen shrub is welcome in the winter, but this one is doubly so because of its colorful bi-colored summer foliage.

  Morphology:
This evergreen ground cover grows to 1’ tall and up to 6’ wide. It features 1” long rounded leaves that have yellow lime-green leaf margins with splashes of dark green in the center of the leaves.

Pale blue flowers form in April if the plant is given full sun. These flowers have a delightful fragrance.

  Adaptation:
Carmel Ceanothus can tolerate both full sun as well as partial shade. It has been found to be hardy to 20 F. Once established it is very much drought tolerant.
