Description Common Hyacinth is well known spring flowering bulb featuring star shaped flowers surrounded by sword green leaves.

  Morphology:
This is a bulbous perennial herb which sends up 4-6 shiny narrow strap-like leaves, followed by central flower stalk in early to mid spring. The floral stalk can attain a height of 12” and bears flowers which can be white, pink, red, blue, or lavender depending upon the cultivar grown. Hyacinths bloom at the same time as tulips.

  Adaptation:
Grow hyacinths in full sun. There are no specific soil requirements.
