Description Pendent Silver Linden is best known for its dense green foliage and profusion of fragrant yellowish flowers that attracts all pollinators as they find it nearly irresistible.

  Morphology:
This tall, deciduous tree reaches 70’ in height and 40’ in width. It features weeping branches rather than a weeping habit. The backs of its dark green leaves are fuzzy and white, turning the tree silver in a breeze. Fall foliage is yellow.

The yellow flowers extend from early summer through mid summer. The bloom has a reputation of being narcotic to bees.

  Adaptation:
This species is used to line roads and driveways when planted in masses. It does well in difficult spots, being able to withstand heavy soil and dry conditions although it does prefer some soil moisture.

  Pests:
None reported.
