Description Sagae Hosta was recognized by the American Hosta Society in 2004.

  Morphology:
This is classified as a herbaceous ground cover that can attain a height of 3’ and mature width of 6’ if given light shade. The leaves are large (14” long and 10” wide). They have a thick texture. For color, look for a chalky blue-green base and neat gold margin.

The flowers are violet. Formerly known as Hosta 'Fluctuans Variegata'.

  Adaptation:
Hostas are easy to cultivate in fertile, moist soil with a pH near neutrality.

  Pests:
Watch for slugs.
