Description Littleleaf Cotoneaster is named for the very small sized evergreen leaves it produces.

  Morphology:
This is an evergreen groundcover that grows to 2’-3’ in height but can spread to 5’ across. Its growth form is classified as prostrate. Leaves are alternate, simple and dark green. The edges of the leaves turn downward.

Small white flowers appear in the spring. These morph to ¼” sized red pomes in the summer. Birds love to feast on the fruit.

  Adaptation:
This plant does best under conditions of full sun to partial shade. It will tolerate a wide range of soil and site conditions. Very drought tolerant once established.
