Description The dwarf conifer collector will greatly enjoy the wide spreading nature of Green Carpet Korean Fir. The purple blue cones are an added bonus.

  Morphology:
This is a dwarf conifer, as classified by the American Conifer Society. With time it forms a tidy spreading mound with light green spring needles followed by dark green in the summer. After 10 years of growth there are reports of this plant attaining a height of 2’ with a width of 6’.

Female cones are held erect on top of the spreading branches.

  Adaptation:
This shrub does best in full sun to partial shade. It requires an evenly moist well-drained soil for optimal growth. It is not particular as to soil pH, but grows best in sandy soils.
