  Morphology:
This is a dwarf conifer that grows slowly to 6’ in height and 6’ in width after 10 years. It has dense foliage borne on crowded upright branches. It may form an irregular shape unless it is sheared to a conical form. It bears grayish-blue needles which are considered quite long (2” in length). The are stiff and thick in cross section.

  Adaptation:
Sun to light shade; deep, moist, well-drained soil; does not do well in heavy clay. Protect from hot afternoon sun.

  Pests:
None reported.
