Description With its slow growth and wider-than-normal outline this dwarf Shore Pine looks like a great candidate for a dedicated bonsai enthusiast.

  Morphology:
This is a dwarf conifer that grows to 4’ in height and perhaps 5’ in width after 10 years on a good site. It bears forward pointing ½” long deep green needles in bundles of 2 on upright branches. Its dense habit has been likened to coral, as in the ocean.

  Adaptation:
Adapted to most soil types. Does best in full sun. This would make an excellent rock garden plant.

  Pests:
None reported.
