Description Like the traditional English boxwood, the Variegated cultivar has small dark green leaves born on dense limbs that can be sheared. This variation features leaves which are bordered by an irregular creamy white variegation adding interest and color.

  Morphology:
This evergreen shrub grows slowly to 5’ to 8’ if it is not sheared or made into a hedge. The width is typically 3’-4’. Leaves are oval shaped. This shrub is often classified as multi-branched.

  Adaptation:
This plant can do well in either full sun to partial shade. It is highly adaptable to various soil types, including average or poor soils as well as acidic or alkaline as long as the soil is well-drained.

Heavy shearing can be done in mid- to late winter with lighter shaping in late spring to midsummer.

  Pests:
Generally does well in the Northwest.
