Description This Ninebark cultivar is best known for its lime green summer foliage that really makes this plant stand out in the landscape.

  Morphology:
This is a deciduous shrub which can grow to 5’ in height but 8’ in width. It features arching stems which bear ovate to rounded, 3-lobed, maple like leaves which can be as long as 4”. Over the course of the growing season they start out golden yellow, age to chartreuse/lime green by mid summer and finally turn yellow with bronze tinting in fall.

During the winter the stems are orange-brown with exfoliating bark.

Flowering commences in June and extends into July. Each flower resembles white pompom, with a pink cast. Later in the summer the flowers morph to reddish bladder like berries.

All parts of plant are poisonous if ingested.

This plant is attractive to bees, butterflies and/or birds

  Adaptation:
It thrives in sun but easily tolerates part shade.
