Description To add red color to the herbaceous garden, consider planting Ravenswing Cow Parsley. The handsome, dark purple foliage and stems add intrigue. When it blossoms, the white flowers stand out in stark contrast against the dark leaves. Also known as Lady's Lace, Lady Anne's Lace, Queen Anne's Lace

  Morphology:
This a herbaceous garden perennial which grows to 18” in height and 24” in width. However the flower stalks shoot up to 3’ in height. The foliage of Cow Parsley forms a luscious mound of plum-colored fernlike foliage.

Flowering occurs in July. Umbels of small, white flowers with pink bracts are set atop the ends of stout stalks.

  Adaptation:
Provide full sun and average to dry soil. To prolong the growth of the foliage during the summer cut off the flower stalks. This will also help reduce the plant from self seeding.

  Pests:
Watch for slugs. Powdery mildew can occur if this plant does not enough air circulation.
