Description This Yarrow cultivar is best recognized for its superb crimson-red flowers that cover the plants during the growing season.

  Morphology:
This is an herbaceous perennial that grows to 2’ in height and width. The plant spreads by underground rhizomes. The flowers are borne at the ends of upright stems. Flowering occurs from June through July. The flowers consist of dense flattened clusters (umbels) which are 2”-4” across. The deeply-dissected fern-like foliage has a spicy scent that is evident with dried bouquets
Consider cutting back plant stems to lateral flower buds after initial flowering to tidy the planting and to encourage additional bloom

  Adaptation:
The best for yarrow is one that receives full sun and dry soil. Be sure to avoid rich organic sites or those that are water logged.

  Pests:
Pest free in the Pacific Northwest.
