Description This small accent tree is renowned for its hot scarlet to fire-engine red spring foliage.

  Morphology:
This is a deciduous garden tree which grows to 15’ in height and 22’ in width. It has the characteristic star shaped leaves of the other Palmatum types. After the spring color fades, a greenish bronze summer color begins. The fall foliage is yellow to orange before the leaves are shed. All through the season the tree has dense appearance.

  Adaptation:
Look for a site with full sun, and well drained soil.

  Pests:
This cultivar should be pest free when grown with plenty of air circulation.
