Description A unique Deodar Cedar variant that grows prostrate along the ground forming a spreading dwarf shrub. One of the most beautiful of the deodar shrub forms. With its soft blue color it creeps along the ground as it grows wider.


  Morphology:
This a dwarf conifer that grows to 1’ in height but eventually spreads out to 8’ in width at full maturity. It has all of the salient features of the larger ornamental Deodar Cedar but it clearly a sport that has been asexually propagated to maintain the dwarf feature. It features blue green foliage with a soft feathery appearance.

This plant looks great in a rock garden or mixed bed where is it given a chance to standout on its own. It would also look great on ahillside where it could flow down the slope.

Select a sunny site with acidic soils.
