Description With its almost black foliage (new growth is bright red) this patented Wood Spurge cultivar makes a striking addition to the landscape.

  Morphology:
This is an evergreen shrub that grows to 18” in both height and width. The strap- like leaves are arranged in whorls on the upright shoots. The stems are red.

Bloom time runs from March through May. The flowers are small and yellow. They appear at the tips of the branches.

Euphorbia does have a milky sap that may irritate the skin.

  Adaptation:
This plant does best in dry, sandy, well-drained soil. It can tolerate some shade but at the expense of the foliage color.
