Description The fall flowering Scotch Heather called 'Wickwar Flame' bears mallow-pink blossoms set against a wild array of orange red foliage.

  Morphology:
This is a densely branched, mat-forming evergreen ground cover with long clusters of abundant, showy white or pink urn-shaped flowers which appear in the fall. Rich green summer foliage morphs to orange and yellow in late summer before turning copper and orange-red in the winter. Mature plants grow to 1.5’ in height and 2’ in width.

This heather cultivar blooms in the fall bearing pink flowers at the ends of the branches.

  Adaptation:
This type of heather looks great in sunny rock gardens where it does best on low fertility soils. Make sure the site has full sun for best color development.

  Pests:
None reported.
