Description With its short dark green needles this Orientale spruce variant forms a globose shape over time.

  Morphology:
This is a dwarf conifer that grows to 4’ in height and width over time. It forms a somewhat flat top shape.

If a leader starts to form it would be best to prune it off early in the life of the plant.

  Adaptation:
Select a full sun location and well drained soil for this plant. It is reported to tolerate gravelly soils.
