Description Named after a private nurseryman, Edsal Wood, from Wilsonville Oregon, this Japanese Red Pine variant forms a flat-bun form.

  Morphology:
This is a miniature conifer that only grows to 1’ in height and 1’ in width after many years. It has a growth rate of only 1” per year. The needles are dark green and appear thin. In the winter look for a plethora of brown buds forming on the top of this plant.

  Morphology:
Select a full sun site and well drained soil. Perfect for the rock garden.
