Description A Dutch lace-leaf dissected leaf Japanese maple cultivar that is very popular in the landscape trade for its color and durability under many conditions.

  Morphology:
This small garden tree grows to 8’ in height but 10’ in width. It bears red-purple deeply cut leaves which have 7-11 lobes. It grows very fast when young, often surpassing other similar cultivars.
The growth habit for this cultivar is classified as mounding.

  Adaptation:
In the full sun it will keep its characteristic red-orange leaf color. In the shade the foliage will be green.

  Pests:
Avoid Verticillium wilt disease by selecting a well drained site.
