Description This popular red maple cultivar comes from the Morgan Arboreteum on the campus of MacDonald College in Quebec.

  Morphology:
This is a deciduous tree that grows to 45’ in height and 40’ in width. As such it is a cross between red maple and silver maple. The leaves have a characteristic deeply 3-lobed appearance. Unlike red maple the lobes of this hybrid maple are widely spread. Summer foliage is green while fall foliage is orange turning to red.

  Adaptation:
This is a plant that can withstand urban pollution, wet soils, and a wide range in soil pH. It must have full sun to thrive.

  Pests:
Considered to be pest free.
