Description If a drought tolerant, xeriscaping plant is called for look to Silverbush to fit the needs as a low growing perennial. It is often sold in the trade as Bush Morning Glory.

  Morphology:
As an evergreen shrub Silverbush grows to 2’ in height and 3’ in width. It bears silky-smooth, silvery gray, lance-shaped leaves. In late spring morning glory like flowers are put forth. They are generally white but can be pink less often; they have a notable yellow throat.

  Adaptation:
Silverbush does well in poor fertility sites as long as they are well drained. There is no need to provide supplemental fertilizer for this plant. It is a native to rocky coastlines of southern Europe. Be sure it planted in full sun.

  Pests:
Spider mites are reported in the literature.
