Description A beautiful shade tree featuring purple leaves in the spring.

  Morphology:
This tree features a pyramidal form, and stout limbs. The leaves are stunning in the spring as they have a coppery purple color. They are thick and leathery. In the fall the leaves trunk purple green before they are shed for the winter. The bark is smooth, though darker than the typical European beech. The root system is very strong making it resistant to wind storms.
