Description Lithodora is a an ideal rock garden plant with beautiful bright blue flowers produced nearly all season long

  Morphology:
Grace Ward lithodora is a spreading evergreen groundcover that typically only attains a height of 4”-5” but can spread out to 4’-6’. It features narrow leaves that are up to one inch in length. Both stems and foliage are hairy.

It forms a dark green mat that produces bright blue azure funnel-shaped flowers from March through June and occasionally until the first frost.

  Adaptation:
While Lithodora does best in full sun it can tolerate light shade. Over time, as the plant spreads the center of the mat can die-off. At this point it’s best to the prune the entire plant severely in order to encourage new growth.

  Pests:
None reported.
