Description Pearly Everlasting is a popular plant for dried flower gatherers, as the papery white bracts that surround the yellow flowers dry well and last indefinitely.

  Morphology:
Pearly Everlasting sends out new leaves which are white and wooly with a lance shape. Later in the summer the leaves turn gray green as they age. Mature plants can attain a size of 2’ with an equal spread.

Globular flowers are bi-colored with white edges and yellow centers. Flowers are arranged in corymbs on erect stems.

  Adaptation:
This wildflower readily grows in gardens and disturbed areas, and lacks any specific soil preference. It prefers full sun but will take partial shade. Both butterflies and bees are attracted to the flowers.

  Pests:
No serious insect or disease problems.
