Description Joy Forever Stachyurus features very nice green and yellow variegated foliage during the summer.

  Morphology:
The deciduous shrub grows to nearly 10’ tall and as wide with a loose structure.
The ovate shaped leaves are up to 5” long. The foliage opens a fresh green and quickly shows the wide irregular margins of yellow. As they mature the petioles redden through the primary vein and the toothed margin of the leaf has a fine defining line of red. Fall brings on pleasing red to purple foliage color.

Flower clusters form in the spring, consisting of hanging flower clusters of white bells. As the flowers fade, small berry-like fruit appear which take on yellow-red coloration.

  Adaptation:
This cultivar prefers sun to light shade and a moist well-drained soil.

  Pests:
None reported.
