Description With its beautiful blue colored needles and stately shape, Blue Atlas Cedar makes an excellent addition to the larger manor gardens, parks or school grounds.

  Morphology:
This evergreen conifer typically ranges in height from 40’-60’ with a width of 20’-40’. When it is young it exhibits a pyramidal shape, but as it ages it becomes flat-topped and spreading. The cultivar 'Glauca' has the desirable silvery blue foliage, making it the most commonly sold form in the trade. Needles are typically 1” in length and slightly curved. They are arranged in a spiral fashion on long shoots as well as in short rosettes.

Female cones are borne upright along branches. When mature they attain a length of 3” and take on a barrel shape.

  Adaptation:
This hardy conifer prefers full sun and deep, moist soils but can tolerate dry condition with ease.

  Pests:
None reported.
