Description The rose cultivar 'Chicago' is derived from the Lasting Peace roses released at the end of World War II to celebrate the end of fighting in Europe.

  Morphology:
This deciduous shrub grows to 4’-6’ in height, with a width of 4’. The American Rose Society classifies it as having a bushy, vigorous habit.

This is a Gandiflora rose cultivar which bears double blooms (5” across) that come on all summer long. The petals are rose colored. They have a slight fragrance.

  Adaptation:
Widely adapted to most sites. Be sure to find one with full sun and plenty of air circulation to reduce foliar diseases.

  Pests:
There are reports that the Lasting Peace rose is resistant to black spot, mildew and rust.
