Description If there was one plant that the gardener wanted to attract all the different pollinators (butterflies, honey bees, and bumble bees), it would be Blue Fortune Anise Hyssop.

  Morphology:
This herbaceous perennail grows to 3’ in height and width. Leaves are licorice scented (hense the anise reference). Flowers begin to appear in June and extend through September. They resemble fuzzy bottle brushes and are blue-lavendar in color. Flowers are sterile. New flower shoots contunue to arise all summer long. No deadheading is required.

  Adaptation:
Select a site with sun to partial shade and ensure that it is well drained.
