Description A most spectacular golden conifer featuring yellow bands that circle the individual needles giving them the ‘eye of the dragon’ when viewed from the side

  Morphology:
This is an evergreen tree that will grow to 8’ after 10 years but perhaps 30’ on an excellent site at full maturity. The needles are soft to the touch, growing 4”-5” in length.

  Adaptation:
Look for a site with partial shade to avoid sun-scalding the foliage of this cultivar. In cooler climates a fun sun site with afternoon shade will bring out the best color.

  Pests:
None reported.
