Description Even though this is an upright Japanese maple it is considered a dwarf form. It was derived from a witch’s broom found in Australia.

  Morphology:
This small garden tree is classified as a deciduous tree that attains a height of 10’ and width of 8’, thus essentially making it half the size of the more common upright palmatum types.
The new growth emerges pale pink in the spring before turning green for the summer. In the fall look for a fantastic show of red and yellow.

  Adaptation:
Select a full sun site with excellent soil drainage.

  Pests:
Bacterial canker can be threat were ever Japanese maples are grown. Ensure good air circulation.
