Description A small weeping deciduous tree that may grow no more than 15' tall, but wider (up to 20') in an umbrella fashion. This is a result of the tree having been grafted on a 'standard' birch rootstock. During the winter months the trunk serves well as a garden accent.

  Morphology:
As with the standard European white birch, the leaves are triangular in shape, 2.5" long and taper to point. In the fall they turn a pleasing yellow, before being shed.

  Adaptation:
This cultivar does well on all soil types. It does best when kept evenly moist.

  Pests:
Bronze birch borer can be a problem with stressed trees. Birch, as a rule, like to have their roots kept cool. Aphids and honey-do, may be a problem, as with other birches.
