Description Red Peppermint Dianthus has lovely crinkled red and white blooms all summer long.

  Morphology:
This is a cool weather annual. It grows to 8” in height and width. In milder regions it can become a biennial. As such China Pinks don’t do as well in hotter regions.

Large white flowers with large red centers, the petals have small fringes and are slightly ruffled.

  Adaptation:
Plant this cultivar on well drained soils in full sun. Dead head spent blossoms to prolong the flowering period.

  Pests:
Slugs and snails can be a problem if China Pink grows in too much shade.
