Description Commonly grown as winter flowering herbaceous perennials, evening primroses come in a whole host of different colors.

  Morphology:
Wrinkled green, strap shaped leaves.

  Adaptation:
Best suited to the cool, humid sides of the Cascades. Compost and water well during the heat of the summer. Under less than ideal conditions this plant should be considered an annual.

  Pests:
Subject to snail and slug damage. Song birds will often eat the flowers.
